My Lecturer

I came o Abti American University, My first lecturer i met with was Ward Eagen. To be sincere i like my lecturer its just that it took time for people to understand him. He is a very funny man or should i call him a comedian. Now i enjoy his class and understand him very well. Manchester United

Manchester United Football Club are a world-famous English football club, based at Old Trafford stadium in Trafford, Greater Manchester. The club is one of the most successful football clubs in English football history, having won the FA Premier League/Football League 15 times, FA Cup 11 times, the League Cup twice, the European Cup twice, the UEFA Cup Winners Cup once, the Intercontinental Cup once, and the European Super Cup once. The club has had the highest average attendance in English football for the past 34 seasons, with the exception of 1987-89 during redevelopment at Old Trafford.
Manchester United have a strong rivalry with local team Manchester City. Rivalries are also quite strong between United and fellow North West teams, Liverpool and Everton.
The club had been run as a public limited company since 1991, with an attempted takeover by Rupert Murdoch in 1998 blocked by the British Government. However, in May 2005 Malcolm Glazer completed a hostile takeover of the club and delisted it from the stock exchange.
The current captain of Manchester United is Gary Neville who took over from Roy Keane on 16 November 2005. I Love MAN U.

Friends

Finding the perfect friend is difficult because no such thing exists. As for finding a real friend, that depends on your preferences. In my own opinion, a real friend is someone you can call up at anytime and be confident that the person will come to your aid, a person who tells you the truth regardless of the consequences; a person who supports you in public even if you are wrong ; a person who ask you how you are and waits to listen to your answer; a person who says “ thank you”; a person who has nothing but is always willing to give you something; a person who believes that your success is his or her own; a person who laughs at your lame jokes; a person who is not ashamed of your mistakes; a person you can fight with but still says “hello”.

Student Life.

Student life is very interesting in AAUN also accumulated with the stress, having to wake up early to meet classes. Also the social life of the school makes it so interesting having parties every Saturday, cultural nights, dance activities and so many other fun things. One of the major disadvantage is the fact that you are not allowed to cook in the school, there is a cafeteria where we get our meals. Also the school library is opened for the students on weekdays till 10pm and weekends till 5pm. The school has also wireless connections for the students laptop. here we get access to the internet for as long as we want.
In AAUN we are allowed to go out to town and are given days when the buses take u s out.
Also recreation in AAUN is very good we have a club where we can swim and gym on specific days and also a basketball and football pitch. The classes are well equipped for students use and the deans are available for the students at all times.

Food and water wastage

In some part of the world people lack food and water, we are very lucky in this part of the world to at least have enough food and water. It is a common practise for people who are satisfied and healthy not to have feelings for those who don't have. Majority of such people are Africans, the fall ill and have no hope of living. Suffering from diseases that can kill, especially the aspect of thirst, we know thirst is what we can't do without because water is a very important thing in our life and without it it will be very difficult to survive. Also Africa as a very hot continent makes thing worse. In some parts of the world where water is a very hard thing to get people go as far as drinking animals pea just for survival. I pray that we will be more sensitive towards the suffering in the world around us and not be blinded by our own selfish nature and interests. I hope this picture will always serve as a reminder to us about how fortunate we are and that we must never ever take things for granted. I also pray that this people are alleviated from their suffering and also we that we are lucky to have food and water should not waste it because we don't know what can happen tomorrow.

EID-FITR CELEBRATION

This is a after Ramadan celebration. This celebration is usually done after the last day of fasting. Its either on the 29Th or 30Th day of the month of Ramadan. On this day the Muslims start the day without having any breakfast and they go for a prayer in the morning, this prayer is a 2 rakah prayer. After the prayer a lecture is given by the leader of the prayer. On this day the Muslims are to dress in their best attires, they are to prepare for it a day before, if they don't have a new dress, they make sure their other cloth is washed and properly ironed. After the prayers they go back to their house and have a nice meal, on that day family and friends go visiting each other. But in this part of the country women are not allowed to go for this morning prayer, so they just sit and prepare for the festival. An animal is sacrificed for this and for this occasion it is usually a chicken. Some others sacrifice ram depending on their capability. After the celebration the fasting is over until next year before another fasting comes up.
